Animal Husbandry Tech/AI 2.0

The Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST), in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Andhra Pradesh, hosted the DeepTech/GovTech Innovation Conclave – Animal Husbandry Tech AI 2.0 on 13–14 May 2025 at Vijayawada. This event marks a milestone in India’s technology-led agricultural transformation, integrating AI, IoT, Blockchain, and FinTech solutions to drive inclusive rural prosperity and achieve sustainable growth.

The conclave builds upon the success of prior GFST initiatives on Health, Aquaculture, and Logistics, positioning Andhra Pradesh as the epicenter of AI-powered livestock governance. It envisions a future where technology empowers farmers and SHG women, strengthens rural entrepreneurship, and enables real-time governance through digital dashboards and predictive analytics.

Key highlights include:

  • Chief Patron’s Vision: Hon’ble CM N. Chandrababu Naidu outlines the P4 Model—People–Public–Private Partnerships—for digital empowerment, precision farming, and bio-secure livestock management.

  • Five-Year Action Plan (2025–30): Targets a 20% CAGR to raise livestock GVA from ₹1.7 lakh crore to ₹3.6 lakh crore, promote 100 agritech startups, and ensure 100% livestock insurance.

  • AI-Driven Governance: A real-time livestock dashboard integrates field-level data to monitor milk, meat, and egg production, enabling rapid decision-making and accountability.

  • Empowering SHG Women: Over 25 lakh women will transition from livelihood earners to livestock entrepreneurs, leveraging credit, insurance, and training ecosystems to achieve “Lakhpati Didi” status.

  • Sustainability Goals: Adoption of seaweed feed additives for methane reduction, ethno-veterinary practices, and community fodder banks to foster eco-friendly productivity.

Through Livestock Tech 2.0, GFST introduces a DeepTech Livestock Governance Model designed for scalability, interoperability, and measurable impact. The post-conclave strategy establishes a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to provide 60-day mentorship, AI-based analytics, and national replication frameworks.

By merging innovation, inclusion, and intelligence, Andhra Pradesh is redefining the livestock sector as a cornerstone of rural resilience, women-led entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth — a transformative leap toward Swarna Andhra Pradesh @2047.
