The Maharashtra Tech AI initiative by the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST) and Bharat Advisors & Partners LLP, in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, aims to accelerate the state’s journey toward a $1 trillion economy by 2029 and achieve zero poverty by 2036 through DeepTech, AI, and inclusive governance.
The program adopts a multi-sector transformation model that integrates aquaculture, livestock, and SHG entrepreneurship within Maharashtra’s broader growth framework. Through a 45-day innovation sprint, GFST is co-developing AI-driven dashboards, data intelligence systems, and sectoral action plans to enable evidence-based governance and sustainable development.
Key targets include:
Doubling the primary sector GVA from ₹5.2 lakh crore to ₹10.5 lakh crore
Expanding aquaculture from ₹10,000 crore to ₹50,000 crore (@30% CAGR)
Scaling livestock from ₹1.1 lakh crore to ₹2.5 lakh crore (@18% CAGR)
Empowering 60.9 lakh SHG members through digital entrepreneurship
Creating over 8 lakh jobs across rural Maharashtra
By combining AI, DeepTech, and GovTech innovation, Maharashtra Tech AI is driving a data-led governance revolution that empowers communities, strengthens rural economies, and sets a new benchmark for sustainable and inclusive growth under Viksit Bharat @2047.
