About The Conclave
The Aquaculture Innovation Tech 2.0 Conclave, held from February 16-18, 2025, at Fortune Murali Park in Vijayawada, was a pivotal event in advancing Andhra Pradesh’s leadership in India’s blue revolution. Organized by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation (GFST), the conclave brought together aqua farmers, exporters, processors, scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and policy leaders. The event aimed to scale aquaculture to 10 lakh acres by 2029-30, tripling the sector’s Gross Value Added (GVA) from ₹1.29 lakh crore in 2024-25 to ₹3.87 lakh crore by 2028-29.
Economic Impact:
Informed by a baseline survey of 60,000 farmers across 4.44 lakh acres, the conclave set a roadmap to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for sustainable, tech-enabled aquaculture.
The conclave’s nine thematic areas formed the backbone of Andhra Pradesh’s aquaculture strategy, focusing on technology, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
Technology & Real-Time Governance: Utilizing GIS mapping, IoT, AI, and drones for real-time farm monitoring, disease prediction, and resource optimization, with a proposed Centre of Excellence for IoT and AI.
Credit & Financial Inclusion: A ₹19,521.84 crore credit plan to support farmers with digital credit scoring, insurance for disease and climate risks, and tools like the Aqua Credit Card.
Enterprise Development: Promoting startups, MSMEs, and FFPOs in RAS, Biofloc, and cage culture, with subsidies, incubation, and enhanced feed and seed infrastructure.
Climate Resilience: Adopting zero-emission aqua zones, solar energy, and waste-to-wealth initiatives like chitin production for sustainable aquaculture.
Market Linkages: Strengthening export hubs, certifications, and ONDC integration to boost domestic consumption and global competitivenes
Marine & Inland Fisheries: Scaling deep-sea fishing with modern vessels and cage culture, alongside GIS-based reservoir management for inland fisheries.
Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the conclave introduced transformative policy measures to support the aquaculture sector:
